Day 1: Athens
Meet/assist at Athens airport. Transfer to your hotel in Athens. Overnight in Athens
Day 2:Athens – Olympia
In the morning proceed with a visit in Olympia. The area of Olympia and the site of the sanctuary were recognised throughout Greece as the paramount competitive-religious center. The first Olympiad was held in 776BC, which year also marks the beginning of historical times for Greek Antiquity. There you will visit the Olympia Archaeological museum. Overnight in Olympia.
Day 3: Olympia - Delphi
Morning departure via the Rio-Antirio crossing to Naupaktos and arrival in the evening in Delphi. Overnight in Delphi.
Day 4: Delphi
After the breakfast, departure for tour in Delphi, Visit of the Apollo Temple in Delphi. The sanctuary of Apollo with the Treasuries buildings where the city-states kept votive offerings and religious vessels), the temples and the perivolos (enclosure) lie on the south flank of Mt. Parnassos.The centre of the Sanctuary is dominated by the Doric temple of Apollo. The sacred way leads to the temple and is lined with Treasuries, monuments and offerings. Norhtwest the temple, is the theatre where Delphic festival were held. Further is stadium where Pythian games took place every 4 years. There you will enter the Delphi Museum. Overnight in Delphi.
Day 5: Delphi - Kalambaka
After breakfast departure towards Kalambaka. Before Kalambaka, some stops in Amphissa, Lamia, Trikala, these will be just shops in the cities for a brief interval for all, no places to visit. Arrival and overnight in Kalambaka.
Day 6: Kalambaka - Athens
After breakfast, depart for a visit in Meteora, usually you can enter in 2 monasteries, depending which are open,as everyday 1 or 2 are open, the usually visited Monasteries are Megalo Meteoron, Aghios Varlaam, Aghios Stefanos, there stop for guidance and pictures. Meteora is a unique phenomenon of nature-24 perpendicular rocks on which about 600 year ago Byzantine monks chose to worship God and bulit Meteora, their monastic community. How these monasteries were built is a subject of fascination for pilgrims and visitor alike. Then , departure for Athens. Towards Athens you pass from Thermopyles where you just see the statue of famous Leonidas where they were killed he and his 300 Spartiates. Also you will pass though Kamema Vourla, another city for a brief stiop. Arrival and overnight in Athens.
Day 7: Athens
A detailed visit of the Acropolis, the Propylea, the Erechteum, the Parthenon, the Agora. Next proceed to the Olympic Stadium, the Temple of Zeus and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Overnight in Athens.
Day 8: Athens – Cape Sounion - Athens
Morning free, Noon half-day tour in Cape Sounion. The temple of Posseidon standing some 60m/200 feet above the sea at the edge of a cliff on Cape Sounio, is one of the most breathtaking and deeply moving sights in all of Greece. The temple is an hour's drive from Central Athens and both the site itself and the route leading to it are worth every minute of the drive. The road runs along the Saronic coast and from the window of our car or bus you can enjoy the endless and brilliant blue sea. Overnight in Athens.
Day 9: Departure
After breakfast, departure transfer to the airport.
