Day 1: Athens - Thessaloniki
Arrivalin Athens with immediate flight connection to Thesaloniki. After arrival, visit the White Tower,the Arch of Galerius and the Byzantine Church ofSt. Dimitrios.It is here where St. Paul first brought the message of Christianity in 50 AD. Overnight in Thessaloniki.
Day 2: Thessaloniki - Pella - Veria - Vergina - Thessaloniki
In the morning proceed to Pella, Alexander the Great’s hometown. Then proceed to Veria and visit the “Bema” where St. Paul used to stand while preaching. Continue to Vergina to visit the tomb of King Philip. Overnight in Thessaloniki.
Day 3: Thessaloniki - Philippi - Amphipolis - Kavala
Visit Amphipolis with the famous Lion statue. Continue to Philippi where St. Paul delivered his first sermon in Europe, sowing the seeds of Christianity. Here St. Paul baptized a “certain woman” named Lydia, the first Christian convert in Europe. The Roman Forum, completely excavated, is after Paul’s time.Among the ruins, located on the rocky ledge above the town’s main road, is the prison where St. Paul and Silas were thrown.Continue into the modern port city of Kavala. Overnight.
Day 4: Kavala - Xanthi - Komotini – Alexandroupolis - Athens
In the morning departure through Xanthi and Komotini to the beautiful town of Alexandroupolis. Flight to Athens and overnight.
Day 5: Athens - Corinth - Athens
A detailed visit of the Acropolis, the Propylea, the Erechteum, the Parthenon, the Mars Hill and the Agora where St. Paul spoke to the Athenians. Next proceed to the Olympic Stadium and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Continue for a tour to Ancient Corinth, passing through the canal which joins the Ionian Sea with the Aegean Sea, where St. Paul preached and wrote the famous letters to the Corinthians. Visit the site where St. Paul worked with Aquila and Priscilla and visit the “Bema” where St. Paul used to stand while preaching. Return to Athens. Overnight.
Day 6: Departure
Transfer to the airport.
