Santorini: Full Day Island Tour & Wine Tasting
Duration: 6˝ -7 hours (full day)
From/to: Santorini Port of Fira (old port)
Begin the excursion with a short cable car ride to the old port & return up to Fira town, enjoying a donkey ride. Further, begin the island tour by going to the beautiful black beach of Kamari, Perivolos or Perissa. Continue to the spectacular location of Pyrgos, where “Santo Wines” winery is located; there, wine tasting will take place as well as an introduction to the history of the famous Santorinian wines.
After the wine tasting, the bus departs for the traditional village of Oia, which is located on the northern tip of the island, high on the cliff top. Oia hosts the most magnificent views on Santorini and a picturesque road, with cliffs on the one side and sea on the other, that leads to this attractive village typical of Santorinian architecture: houses that sunk deep into the volcanic soil, their whitewashed walls and blue domes sparkling in the sunlight.
The tour will continue visiting Fira the capital town of the island. Wondering through the white cob bled streets of Fira a town of about 2000 inhabitants, travelers get the feel of the old-world charm blended in with the modern day comforts and the Gold Street, where travelers can find the most interesting jewelleries.
